Personal income increased $29.6 billion (0.3 percent) and disposable personal income (DPI) increased $28.5 billion (0.4 percent) in November. Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $38.5 billion (0.5 percent).
Private wage and salary disbursements increased $17.7 billion in November; goods-producing industries' payrolls increased $0.4 billion; manufacturing payrolls decreased $0.6 billion; distributive industries' payrolls increased $3.5 billion; service industries' payrolls increased $13.9 billion; and government wage and salary disbursements increased $2.0 billion.
Regional and State unemployment rates were little changed in November,
but remained generally higher than a year ago. All four regions reported
little or no change, and 48 states and the District of Columbia recorded shifts of 0.3 percentage point or less. The national jobless rate rose to 6.0 percent in November. Nonfarm employment decreased in 26 States in November.

iNetgen, an application service provider of automated staffing/recruiting and workforce management solutions, will integrate the Mohomine Resume Extractor technology into its ALCHEMUS software application. Mohomine is a provider of text processing automation software.
Through a strategic alliance, Peopleclick, an enterprise workforce management technology firm, and Spherion Corporation, a recruitment, technology, and outsourcing services provider, providing Spherion customers with access to Peopleclick's technology platform.
Aligned Goals and Bottom Lines
Organizations that align their human resources strategies with business objectives are more profitable, according to a new study conducted by New York-based accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers. The study found that organizations that worked to match human resource interests with those of the enterprise gained an increase in revenue per employee of 35 percent.
