Regional and State unemployment rates were generally stable in October. All four regions recorded little change from September, and 44 States and the District of Columbia recorded shifts of 0.3 percentage point or less. The national jobless rate was essentially unchanged at 5.7 percent in October. Nonfarm employment decreased in 25 States and the District of Columbia in October.
Baby Boomers and the Internet
Pew Internet looks at the differences of online Internet use based on age. They found that among other things, Baby Boomers are more likely than GenXers to use email, get health, financial, and spiritual information, and trade online, but are less likely than GenXers to use the Internet to conduct job searches (64% vs. 34%) and house searches. Both are equally likely to do job-related research online.

OneSource Information Services, a provider of business information solutions, releases its Global Business Browser–Asia Pacific product for recruitment companies. It offers intelligence and insight into the region's largest public and private companies, with news, industry information, financial reports, and a universe of 1.7 million executives.
