The Employment Situation for July–Both the unemployment rate, 5.9 percent, and total nonfarm payroll employment, 130.8 million, were unchanged in July. A gain in payroll employment in services was partially offset by a decline in construction. Job losses continued to moderate in manufacturing, but the factory workweek fell.
In July, the number of unemployed persons (8.3 million) was essentially unchanged, and the number of persons unemployed for 15 weeks or more fell by 220,000 to 2.9 million.

The Blue Pumpkin Advisor and Blue Pumpkin Activity Manager include long-range human resource planning, budgeting, employee scheduling, productivity assessment, payroll integration, and performance measurement.

Reuters reports that one of the U.K.'s most exclusive grocery stores needs a new chocolate taster and will pay 35,000 pounds a year for the successful candidate. Fortnum & Mason in London's Piccadilly is looking for a chocolate buyer to travel the world, taste as much chocolate as possible, and select only the best for its discerning customers.
