Best Practices
Be sure to submit your best practices after reading John Sumser's article in the ERN today.

From the Bureau
In 2000, States with the fastest growth in real Gross State Product (GSP) were located in the west and the northeast areas of the Nation.

Idaho, Oregon, California, and Arizona had robust growth in high-tech manufacturing, and Colorado had strong growth in business services and communications. Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York had strong growth in finance, insurance, and real estate and in services. Alaska and Louisiana were the only States in which real GSP declined in 2000 (mining, including oil and gas extraction, decreased). Real GSP for the Nation grew at an annual rate of 4.5 percent from 1999 to 2000.

Reveille
E-recruitment training and information firm, AIRS signs seven partners for its Outplacement Associates Program: Hire Resource (Bethesda, MD), WorkWorlds (Atlanta, GA), Mark Joseph Associates (Camp Hill, PA), John Coraccio (Tampa FL), Burton & Grove (Rolling Meadows, IL); Key Profile (Baltimore, MD), and Stonegate Associates (New York, NY).

Net-Temps jobs are now cross-posted and searchable on HR.com. The job board is sporting a revamped website with new sections that include online polling staffing request submittals for employers, rotational factoids about the staffing industry, timely articles on industry trends, and improved navigation across applications.

Now, This Is Feedback
BACK TO THE FLOOR, a new series sponsored by SHRM, challenges top executives to descend from the heights to spend a week with their workers. They learn about how their company really works, what the business is like, and what their employees think of them.

The 6-part series runs from June 14-July 19 on PBS. For a description of the shows and local listings visit the PBS website.
