The revised seasonally adjusted annual rates of productivity change in
First Quarter 2002 were:
8.3 percent in the business sector
and
8.4 percent in the nonfarm business sector.
In both sectors, the first-quarter productivity gains were slightly lower than
those reported initially on May 7. In manufacturing, the revised productivity
changes in the first quarter were:
9.4 percent in manufacturing,
13.3 percent in durable goods manufacturing, and
4.6 percent in nondurable goods manufacturing.
Unemployment
Insurance Weekly Claims Report
In the week ending May 25, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted
initial claims was 410,000, a decrease of 12,000 from the previous week's
revised figure of 422,000. The 4-week moving average was 418,500, a decrease of
3,000 from the previous week's revised average of 421,500.

(NORAS). NORAS is the UK's largest ever piece of online recruitment research
and provides demographic
profiles and audited unique user numbers of eight of the UK's leading
online recruitment sites, HR sites, and training sites. Thanks to Online Recruitment for
bringing this to our attention.
Dropping Notes
Paris-based Keljob.com, a job site that
helps companies make their corporate recruiting site their main recruiting
tool, obtains 4,6 million Euros in Funding. Led by Credit Lyonnais Private
Equity (FCPI Innovation 2 and FCPR Crédit Lyonnais Venture 1), and included
Banexi Ventures, a division of BNP Paribas.
Research Data Design, a market
research company specializing in telephone data collection, raises $2 million
in first round funding. Investors are undisclosed.
