Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report
This week's release contains and uses seasonal factors developed using a revised methodology.
In the week ending April 6, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 438,000, a decrease of 55,000 from the previous week's revised figure. The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 2.9 percent for the week ending March 30, an increase of 0.1 percentage point from the prior week's rate of 2.8 percent. The advance unadjusted insured unemployment rate was 3.2 percent during the week ending March 30, an increase of 0.1 percentage point from the prior week.
