Expectations and Confidence
The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index lost ground in February and now stands at 94.1 (down from 97.8 in January). The Present Situation Index declined from 98.1 to 94.8. The Expectations Index fell from 97.6 to 93.6.
The employment outlook was also less positive. Currently, 18.4 percent of consumers expect more jobs to become available in the next six months, down from 18.9 percent in January. Those expecting fewer jobs to become available increased from 18.0 percent to 19.3 percent. As for income expectations, fewer consumers anticipate their paychecks to rise over the next six months--20.1 percent in January, compared to 19.9 percent in February.

Nurses
The San Diego Daily Transcript reports that hospitals searching far and wide for nurses. According to a recent press release from Medzilla, they can be found applying for jobs in pharmaceutical sales.
Couldn't Pass This Up
A new study measuring Web rage (violence caused by Internet-related frustration) found that more than half of all Internet users experience Net frustrationthose all too familiar slow-loading pages or Help menus that really don't. No news flash here! Well, it seems that many they take out their Internet anger in the real world7 percent of respondents say they hit their equipment, 4 percent pound on their desks, and 2 percent say they've become so upset they've hit the person sitting next to them. Some stress expert claims this is due to the transitory and vulnerable nature of the workplace … sounds more the immature nature of the worker. Makes you wonder if they hit their spouse if dinner is late or pound on their dog if it interrupts them to go outside …
