Net-Temps introduces a suite of tools in its recruiting center designed to helps recruiters evaluate the performance of their job postings. Statistical measurements tell recruiters which postings are getting the most job seeker visibility and responses.

As part of a new agreement, Toronto's Mediacorp Canada Inc. will provide a data feed containing reports on new full-time job opportunities each week, gathered from employers across Canada, to be used on the Talware TalXchange Network, a web-based global network of professional recruiters and search consultants.

Specific Outcomes
According to the 2001 Human Capital Index study from Watson Wyatt Canada, companies that focus their HR technology initiatives that make specific, quantifiable improvements (e.g., improve employee service) see as much as a 6.5-percent increase in the company's shareholder value, while those with softer goals (i.e., enhancing communication) are associated with a significant decrease in shareholder value.

Reuters reports that when asked why the United States has a lower unemployment rate at 5.6 percent than Germany has at 10.4 percent, Werner Mueller, Germany's economic minister replied, "Our unemployment rate would be 1.5 percentage points lower if we had as many people sitting in jail as the United States has."
