Federal Updates
To assist workers who have lost their jobs to the aftermath of September 11, U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao announced a National Emergency Grant of up to $3.1 million to the State of Indiana to assist workers in the airline industry,
up to $3 million to the State of Georgia to assist in the retraining and skills development of workers, and
of up to $5.8 million to the State of Nevada to assist workers in the hospitality, tourism, and related industries.
