Virus Update
W32/Badtrans@MM is a mass-mailing worm that drops a remote-access Trojan. The virus arrives via the Microsoft Outlook email program and attempts to send itself by replying to unread email messages.

Please refer to MacAfee and Symantec for detailed information on identifying contaminated emails and attachment. Both security firms have upgraded this virus to high risk.

State Updates
SHRM reports that a Maryland State law went into effect November 23, adding protection based on sexual orientation to the State's employment discrimination laws.
