Arbiter Speaks
Reuters reports that the official arbiter of recessions in the United States offered a reassuring message about the economy, but cautioned that its assessment did not attempt to gauge the economic impact of Tuesday's attacks. In its latest memo, the private Cambridge, Massachusetts-based National Bureau of Economic Research said that employment has not fallen by an amount typical of a recession and that personal income has not dropped at all.
New Combinations
Interactive Information Service has merged its existing recruitment advertising business with the current operations of The David Group, a Cleveland-based recruitment marketing firm.
Teamstaff closed its merger with online business center, BrightLane.com.
