According to State personal income growth estimates, Colorado, Minnesota, and Virginia led the nation in personal income growth from the first quarter of 2000 to the first quarter of 2001. The rapid growth in these States was fueled by strength in high-tech industries. In contrast, three Great Lakes States, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio, had the slowest growth in personal income, primarily reflecting declines in durables manufacturing, mainly motor vehicles.
Since the first quarter of 2000, personal income in the Nation grew 6.1 percent. Prices paid by U.S. consumers (as measured by the price index for personal consumption expenditures) increased 2.2 percent. All 50 States and the District of Columbia had growth rates in personal income that were above the 2.2-percent increase in prices.

Totaljobs.com introduces SmartMatch, a new software solution developed by Zynap, designed to intelligently evaluate jobseekers skills and experience against a job vacancy.
ConstructionJobs.com, a job bank resource for the construction industry, has enhanced its site with new upgrades and services allowing for advanced searching and screening capabilities.
