Regional Updates
According to the Employment Development Department, California's unemployment rate hit an 8-month low in October. The State job rate last month was 4.7 percent, down from 4.8 percent in September.
Thirty Fairfax County, Virginia-based companies attracted $310.97 million in venture capital investment during the third quarter of the year, according to figures compiled by the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority.
