Today's ERN looks at a new offering that's taking off fast with it's approach to web based recruiting.

In September, 202 metropolitan areas reported unemployment rates below the U.S. average (3.8 percent, not seasonally adjusted), while 119 areas registered higher rates. Twenty-six metropolitan areas had rates below 2.0 percent, with 12 of these located in the Midwest, 7 in New England, and 6 in the South. Among the 5 areas with jobless rates over 10.0 percent, 3 were in the West and 2 were in the South.
The Nation's unemployment rate in October held at 3.9 percent, and total nonfarm employment rose by 137,000. Among the major industry divisions, construction had the largest over-the-month gain, adding 34,000 jobs. Employment was unchanged in manufacturing and little changed in services and retail trade. Average hourly earnings rose by 6 cents over the month.
The preliminary seasonally-adjusted annual productivity growth rates in the third quarter were 3.2 percent in the business sector and 3.8 percent in the nonfarm business sector. In both sectors, productivity increases for third quarter were smaller than those recorded in the second quarter of 2000 (as revised).
