Unemployment Insurance Weekly Claims Report
In the week ending September 9, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 324,000, an increase of 13,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 311,000. The 4-week moving average was 318,500, an increase of 2,500 from the previous week's revised average of 316,000. The advance seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate was 1.8 percent for the week ending September 2, an increase of 0.1 percentage point from the prior week's revised rate of 1.7 percent.
