The Internet and the Economy

In a related story, the University of Texas-Austin Center for Research in Electronic Commerce released its Internet Economy report, which found that the Internet supported an additional 650,000 jobs in 1999 (a 36-percent increase) as revenues soared to $523.9 billion (a 62-percent increase).
Where To Work
The June issue of Computerworld features it 7th annual list of the Best Places to Work in IT. The issue also features an article on blue-collar workers who are training their way into the Internet economy.
