Producer Price Index
The Producer Price Index for Finished Goods declined 0.3 percent in April, seasonally adjusted, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. This decrease followed increases of 1.0 percent in February and March.
Global Recruiting
According to the third annual Global 500 Web Site Recruiting 2000 Survey, 79 percent of global companies recruit on their corporate Web sites, a 29-percent increase from 1998. The survey also found that 92 percent of North America-based companies use their websites for recruiting, with 71 percent having highly sophisticated recruiting processes and 21 percent having basic recruiting strategies.
