Frontline Group, a workforce performance firm, has acquired International Management & Development Group, which helps companies worldwide solve workforce development issues.
Dutch temporary employment company Vedior NV has agreed to buy U.S. staffing firm Acsys Inc for 79 million Euros plus expenses. Acsys had 1999 sales of $168 million with accounting and finance staffing generating approximately 50 percent of total revenues.

According to the CCH Incorporated 1999 Unscheduled Absence Survey, absenteeism attributed to illness fell to 19 percent; absences attributed to stress rose to 19 percent; absences because of personal needs, 20 percent; and absences because of family issues, 21 percent.
