Interim Services Inc. debuts CareerZone.com, a career management site, featuring tools such as professional assessments, career goal identification, and performance evaluations.
Gearing Up
WorkSeek.com raised $10 million in private money to expand its network of career-specific websites. Three of its planned 24 sites have launched: SalesSeek, RetailSeek, and GeekSeek.
6figurejobs.com secured $2 million in funding through E-Media, an interactive agency based in Connecticut. The company also reports its continued efforts in raising another round to enable the site's growth.
French technology services company Cap Gemini will spend more than $11 billion in cash and stock to buy the consulting arm of Ernst & Young. If approved, the deal will create one of the world's largest consulting and IT services groups.
New Combinations
Dice.com announced today an exclusive agreement to provide its job listings, advertising, and other IT career-related content to the Dilbert Zone, the official Dilbert Website.
Xcelera.com, an Internet holding company, has acquired an interest in Wideyes, an Internet recruitment company that features a multilingual database, psychometric testing, and a pay-for-results policy.
