It seems that the workforce isn't the only shortage challenging the work world. SiliconAlley reports that Senator Charles Schumer has formed a task force to study New York City's commercial real estate shortage--a problem considered to have limited the growth of Alley tech companies and compelled some to locate elsewhere. Another story reports that it is almost easier to secure venture capital than to find office space.

employeesavings.com, a provider of employer-sponsored value plans, has expanded it's presence in the Bay Area by acquiring Cupertino-based benefits provider RMS EASI.
AccounTEC Inc. announces the acquisition of Dickson Associates, a Midwest regional provider of accounting and information technology personnel.
Clients of professional employer organization Administaff now have access to property and casuality insurance products through Aon Enterprise, offered on a co-branded website.
